My Story
I completed my medical training in Nigeria and practiced family medicine there before moving to the United States to earn a Master of Public Health at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, with a focus on health systems and equity.
I then completed a pediatric residency at Bronx Lebanon Hospital Center in New York, followed by advanced training in clinical informatics and a Master’s degree in Clinical Informatics.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, I experienced burnout and illness myself. A traditional herbal drink recommended by my family in Nigeria proved to be a game changer in my recovery. That experience rekindled my respect for the healing power of nature and deepened my interest in mindfulness and holistic healing. I pursued further training in integrative medicine and Ayurveda to expand the tools I could offer patients — especially those facing the limitations of conventional care amid the stress of the pandemic.
I also conducted research in India and Nigeria exploring the intersections between traditional and modern healing systems.
Today, I am triple board certified in Pediatrics, Integrative medicine and Clinical Informatics. This unique combination allows me to bridge advanced medical science with holistic approaches. My background in clinical informatics supports my commitment to using health technologies to inspire and sustain behavior change — helping patients integrate healthy habits more seamlessly into their lives.
